Sean delivered a 6 week PE intervention for 32 SEND students at Fullhurst. His sessions were fun and engaging for all students involved. The impact of these sessions saw a massive improvement in student social and communication skills. Students also development their fundamental movement skills which has a massive impact for students both in PE and classroom based lessons.
We have loved having Sean at our school! He has been with our school for an entire term, demonstrating an incredible work ethic and dedication to every lesson he teaches. His exceptional behavior management skills ensure that each child benefits fully from his instruction. Additionally, Sean's engaging teaching style and ability to differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of his students make him an invaluable asset to our school community.
I have known Sean since the summer of 2023 when I worked alongside him at Bede Park, Leicester where as a combined initiative we worked with local kids to teach them basic football skills.
The session were lead by Sean and started with low level warm up activities. Then the children were split into age groups and depending on their level of ability the exercises were adapted to suit the kids.
Sean came across as passionate and really wanted to help the children and I saw him approach 2 young girls who were just walking around the park and after light encouragement 1 decided to play football. Although there were a few girls that attended regularly the boys certainly outnumbered the girls. It was good to see him use his persuasion skills but as per his training he gave a QR code to the girl and his contact number for the girl's parents to call him first and give the girl permission by filling out official registration forms.
Sean was there in all weathers and I was impressed with his level of patience and how he just wanted to see the kids develop and in the few weeks I was there I saw a huge difference in some of the children and they came out of their shell and became very active members of the group.
I saw the smiles on the faces of the kids doing something they enjoyed and this meant the kids weren't sat at home in front of a digital screen, or running the streets and possibly getting into trouble.
Sean is a credit to himself and his desire to do the best for our younger generation is inspiring.
